Growing to impact  communities

Paul Martin Namanya,  is a spirited Youth and Adolescent Specialist with an unwavering dedication to ensuring that young people living with and affected by HIV lead lives that are not just healthy and prosperous but also dignified—free from the shackles of violence, discrimination, diseases, and poverty.

His dream is to imprint a lasting legacy in the realm of adolescent and youth health, igniting a spark in young minds to advocate passionately for enhanced health, economic opportunities, and social programs that uplift their existence. He confidently desires to build a lasting legacy “I aim to create a legacy that resonates long after I’ve left this world” This vision stretches to designing, leading, and orchestrating the implementation of integrated youth health, economic, and social programs.

To set him towards that path of passion to impact, YPMP has contributed to this transformative journey by shaping him into a leader capable of making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people. “Through YPMP, I’ve cultivated valuable skills in public speaking that have translated into real-world leadership at my workplace. For instance, the program has empowered me to take charge of a research study, enrolling over 300 Young People Living with HIV (YPLHIV) in a record time of just five weeks” he testified.  This achievement stands as authentication to the profound impact of YPMP on his professional growth.

Moreover, YPMP’s emphasis on volunteering has kindled a deeper love for community service within him. For example, Paul has successfully led and supported various programs, with one highlight being the coordination of the National Birth Surveillance Meeting, where he adeptly managed stakeholders.

“Overall, my YPMP journey has been a transformative experience, propelling me to new heights in analysis, networking, and skill acquisition—a journey that has truly shaped me into the impactful individual I am today” he concluded
