Let us break chains of modern slavery.

Let us break chains of modern slavery.

What do you see when you look at your fellow man? Some people see a profit. There are more people being bought and sold at this moment than in the entire 300 years. It’s dramatically insane that human trafficking is profitable. You could sell a kilo of heroin once: but you can sell a 14 year old girl 20 times a night and 365 days a year. Miserably sold over and over to make money for the trafficker. The pain of several girls can be depicted in this poem

To my trafficker I am not human;
I am a product , more expensive than his heroin.
To my trafficker I am not human;
I am a product , more expensive than his heroin.
I have no say in what happens in my life.
I am captivated and sad.
My trafficker controls my life. I belong to him.
He owns me like a bottle in his hand.
Once it’s empty he disposes it off.
He has no feelings attached to it once the use is done.
Many others out there are facing the same
They can’t speak up because they are in fear.
Can you see her out there trying to break through and come out of it!
But she’s scared to let go even though she was treated bad.
In the night she’s crying to relieve the pain  bottled in the heart .

Aware that many men and women are in this business that violates human dignity, how do you feel? As a man, do you feel like a man when you push her around?  Several failed attempts to escape end in lost lives.

Our call today is for us to be different. One time that could be your daughter or sister. Don’t forget, men too can be victims of trafficking and abuse. Life is the gift of our creator….and it should never be for sale. Never forget that justice is what love looks like in public and you don’t have to be hiding. Don’t you be ashamed to say you were hurt. It’s not anyone’s issue. It’s humanity’s issue. It’s your issue. It’s my issue. Let us break the chains of modern slavery.

#end modern slavery.
