Welcome to the YPMP Class of 2024!

With great enthusiasm, we extend a warm welcome to Cohort 3 of the Young Professionals Mentorship Program (YPMP). The virtual orientation on Saturday 24th February 2024 ushered in 97 mentees from nine countries across the globe: Ghana, Kenya, Lebanon, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Sudan, Uganda, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States of America.

The unique composition of this cohort is seen in the diversity of their career paths, talents and backgrounds. From engineering to entrepreneurship, agriculture to education, law and policy development to economics and accounting, aviation to medicine, each mentee offers a unique perspective and skill set that enriches. Our mandate is to walk this journey in nurturing them into more holistic impactful individuals in different spectrums of life.

As our mentees embark on this transformative journey, most of their expectations align with their respective backgrounds. Some are eager to expand their professional networks and gain insights into their respective industries, while others seek guidance on career advancement or explore new opportunities for personal and professional growth. From honing leadership skills to cultivating mentorship relationships, our mentees are poised to make the most of their YPMP experience.

At YPMP, we believe in the power of mentorship to catalyze personal and professional development. By fostering meaningful connections and providing guidance and support, we aim to empower young professionals to reach their fullest potential and make a positive impact in their respective fields and communities. This uphill task will necessitate them to deliberately embrace this journey with an open mind and a spirit of curiosity and collaboration. Together, we will embark on a transformative learning experience that will not only shape the trajectory of their careers but also forge lifelong connections and friendships across borders and boundaries.
